I am posting anonymously because my login is known to some.
Most of the people who attend this chapel are new to Tradition. Many move freely between the SSPX chapel, the remaining Latin Masses, and the Novus Ordo without apparent concern. Meanwhile, those who grew up in Tradition and now hold positions of authority seem infected with a modernist mindset. As a result, only a small minority are genuinely trying to remain faithful to the Archbishop’s mission.
The chapel is effectively run by the Holy Name Society and various “teams,” with minimal real involvement from the parish priest. He delegates extensively as his primary work is at the school in Kentucky, after which he flies in to serve the mission. The HNS itself is dominated by newcomers to Tradition, yet they vote and dictate how the chapel operates. If you are not part of the HNS, you are effectively irrelevant.
What the HNS will not tell you is that the framed display in the vestibule and the so-called Apostolic blessing have caused real scandal—even among those transitioning from the Novus Ordo to Tradition.
The public social media presence is nauseating. Anyone who looks long enough—particularly on Facebook—will find repeated posts showcasing the four-picture framed display hanging in the vestibule: the diocesan bishop, the pope, the district superior, and the Archbishop. This was pushed by the individual who runs the “Charlotte Latin Mass Community” website https://charlottelatinmass.org/ and another individual who appears to run nearly everything else. The former seems conflicted about attending the SSPX while remaining “outside the diocese.” Another plausible motive is fundraising for new land or a new church, something Steve Cunningham of Sensus Fidelium has already mentioned.

There is one additional link I will not share, as the parishioners deserve at least some privacy. From what I have been told, videos were recorded and posted without a formal video or privacy policy and without the consent of the faithful. It is also my understanding that Father Stanich, the prior in Kentucky, had no knowledge of these social media pages at the time—whether he does now is unknown.
Some of these videos are produced like short films—highly stylized, modern, and frankly strange.
Several pages include the disclaimer: “Managed by Saint Anthony’s Holy Name Society. We do not speak on behalf of the SSPX.”
Yet everything is clearly tied to the chapel itself and even linked through the SSPX directory.
There is also a so-called Regina Coeli report on the chapel that reads more like a corporate manifesto than a parish report—almost as if the priest is unnecessary.
In short, this chapel is in serious need of prayers—many prayers.

OP, is this your chapel? If it isn’t, your statement is a harsh, rash judgment.  Even if it IS your chapel, it’s still uncalled for. How do you know how almost everyone lives outside of Mass and chapel functions?  Unless you speak for yourself and your family…..in which case, name yourself!

I took out the phrase "live as Catholics". That was the only over-step I could find in the whole post. The rest was 100% Catholic.

The rest of the post seemed extremely restrained and stuck to facts. And these facts need to be known for the common good. In other words, not detraction.

Why do all on CI need to know these things?  I don’t see any reason, for example, why I need this information about an SSPX chapel in N.Carolina.

Because trads visit here to discuss these things.

Thank you for posting..They are actually under a N.O. bishop, ...? just like that - transparent.! First it was + Huonder, sortof;  but now  answering to a local bishop. + Can you imagine what + Lefebvre would say or do?  He would very probably shake his head in unbelief, and continue find fault with Vatican II and the new Mass...sacraments etc. as he was wont to do, to preserve the FAITH.

So far as I am aware, the SSPX always professes loyalty to the local bishop, and includes his name in the Canon, even if they have gone into his diocese and set up shop without his consent.  It doesn't mean that they subject themselves to his direction.  They have no official status within the Charlotte diocese.

o That those on Catholic Info pray that modernism and false ecuмenism leave the chapel.
o That those who attend this chapel will be encouraged and consider talking to the priest and prior about concerns.
o That others who attend  SSPX chapels might consider voicing concerns to the prior about what is being posted publicly for the world to see (and maybe issues at their own chapels).
