Title: Pray For A Prostitute
Post by: Änσnymσus on May 26, 2020, 11:22:28 AM
Please say a prayer for a woman who is selling her body to pay her rent. Perhaps to St. Mary of Egypt? She was raised Catholic but no longer practices.

And Jesus went unto mount Olivet.
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him, and sitting down he taught them.
And the scribes and the Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery: and they set her in the midst,
And said to him: Master, this woman was even now taken in adultery.
Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such a one. But what sayest thou?
And this they said tempting him, that they might accuse him. But Jesus bowing himself down, wrote with his finger on the ground.
When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground.
But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst.
Then Jesus lifting up himself, said to her: Woman, where are they that accused thee? Hath no man condemned thee?

Who said: No man, Lord. And Jesus said: Neither will I condemn thee. Go, and now sin no more.

- John 8:1-11 DRA

If you were a Christian you would know that neither do you.
King David prayed for the death of his enemies and that they would be taken out from the Book of Life.

I pray for her death instead. Harlots deserve no mercy.

I will not pray that God will show you, as He has promised,  the same amount of mercy that you display here.

It is not she who is your enemy, but you are her enemy, so watch out what you pray for. You might be held to account for it.

It seems like the person to whom you are responding rescinded the incendiary comment.  Which is good, as it was a wicked remark.  "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive..."

Thank you for the good news, Mith. We are all in need of God's mercy and forgiveness.

OP here. It gets worse. Apparently the girl is also a witch and has sold her soul to the devil. Do you think I should still pray for her and ask for prayers, or is there no point?

Keep praying!!!  Jesus came to redeem. The word redeem means to buy back. We all need His Redemption. Nobody is beyond redemption. Besides, no prayer will lie dormant. Persistence is required.

Admonish her twice.

As long as she is alive in this world she can be saved. We should all pray for her. Who knows, it could maybe for this purpose that God put us in this world. Our Lady at Fatima said that it was for not having anyone to pray and make sacrifices for them that so many people go to Hell.
