Title: Please pray for my husband
Post by: Änσnymσus on December 04, 2021, 06:37:41 PM
In anger he has threasened to leave me. This is like a bolt out of the blue. Please pray for his healing, and for my understanding.

Thank you so much.

Just remember that people say things in anger that they don't mean or would never actually do.

You need to see a priest immediately. I promise to have my family pray for you and your family daily.

Thank you, all, from the bottom of my heart. It is working out.

Thank God.  As I mentioned earlier, try not to get too down about something that may have been blurted out during the heat of an argument.  People say things they don't really mean in those situations.  Now, if this becomes a recurring thing, then I would definitely seek some counseling from a priest.

When he "threatened to leave," he was more talking about the situation, that he didn't want to be there right then, rather than from a longer-term perspective of the marriage.  It was likely his way of saying, "I'm outta here," in the sense of not wanting to be there at that moment.

 We have things in common. It is not easy being married, and wives have a hard time. I get it.

Does he have a prayerful life? If not he has set himself up with the devil.  You both need to have rosary together.  Be sure to have a prayerful life. He needs to see a priest, if one is available.  Test the spirits.  The demons hate to hear words like, Mary, Jesus, Most Precious Blood and holy water and that is why prayerful life is needed. If not, he has set himself up.

I thought I had added my prayers to this last night, but I am not sure if I am mixing up anonymous threads or forgot to click the button to show my name? In any event, my prayers are added in.
God bless both of you,
Anne

P.S. Saint Rita and Saint Monica hear from me quite a bit. They may be helpful for you as well :-)

Does he have a prayerful life? Absolutely.
Rosary together? Without fail.
Past (childhood) experiences and a lack of parental love play a large part.
Thank you all for your prayers. All is settled for now. One never knows when a flare will occur. Thankfully less often.
