Does anyone have a link or the full text of this article?:

"The Salvation of Those Outside the Church". Published by the CMRI in 1992 issue of The Reign of Mary, (Vol. XXIV, No. 70, p. 10.).
Is this close enough? It has added comments... I think it is also in the Library.

So, whether +Pirvarunas had "excommunicated" Father Crawford, that could be interpreted in different ways ...

1) formal canonical excommunication
2) informal excommunication for all intents and purposes (refusal of Sacraments)
3) admonished people verbally not to go there

Very few groups would claim to be able to do #1 ... though some might be flirting with it lately.

2 -- SSPV does this all the time, where they will in fact refuse the Sacraments to those who attend Masses of +Thuc line priests and/or CMRi priests, of or you're a "Feeneyite" ... unless, of course, you're Natalie White who could get them set up to receive Holy Orders from Bishop Alfred Mendez, at which point they'll look the other way

3 -- so?

I imagine that +Pivarunas engaged in #3, announcing his opinion that the faithful should not go there, but I can't rule out #2 for sure.  Just don't know enough.

I've never seen a treatment of this subject that's such an absolute theological disaster and nightmare as this ... incoherent nonsense just pulled out of thin air, with almost no citations to Magisterium or to other authorities.  It would actually be difficult to refute because it's so sloppy, kindof like if you were to get into a fist fight with some guy made of Jello, where even if you land a punch, there's nothing of substance there to punch in the first place.

While I disagree with Monsignor Fenton's ultimate conclusion, where he holds that one can be IN the body of the Church without being part OF the body of the Church ... even Msgr. Fenton refutes the entirety of Father Barbara's nonsense, before arriving at his own conclusion.

Why did you bump an 8 year old thread?
Tired of reading the false, blown up nonsense that was and is being spewed against a very good Priest of the Catholic Church. Sorry if it offended you.
