Was he at the retreat house in Los Gatos CA, by any chance?

Yes, for many years he was in Los Gatos, CA. until about 2 years ago.  For about the last month he was no longer able to say Mass. It was around Good Friday that he was sent to Sursum Corda House.   They said he had cancer- a slow growing type.

So, his brother, Brother Gerard also died of cancer, in 2017.  Was it the same kind?
