Is your parish your real family?

How many people are closer to their fellow parishioners than to their own biological family?
Would this be against the order of charity?

It is a two way highway.  If biological family disapproves of traditional latin Mass and such, oh well. As St. Monica said, "Remember me at the altar".  My family is being remembered that way.  That is charity, love your enemy, pray for your enemy.

Who’s asking?  But yes, a person can be close as family with unrelated people. Maybe his blood relatives are all dead or absent.  Maybe they hate him and vice versa.
