Let me preface this by saying that I do not like the word. It's really just a horrible word in the English language and Catholics shouldn't be throwing around racial epithets like that. It's an awful vice.
That being said, this new world of saying or doing one thing bad and losing everything is really, really bad. It's almost a mob-mentality kind of thing, where everyone goes after you with the intention of ruining your entire life! He made a mistake and people should forgive him.
Even then, do you really think a guy with million-dollar NFL and college football deals and naming rights is really racist towards black people? Both sports are majority African-American.
.
I know a black man who calls other blacks Nigger and doesn't bat an eyelash. . . . So I axt 'im -- wassup?
.
And he 'splained to me. Sez, "But that's not what I said. I said, 'Niggah'."
"Huh?! You can't be serious! I stared at him with my mouth open.
.
He could see I was having a problem with this. So he repeated himself for emphasis:
.
"I dint say Nigger. I said, Niggah. There's a difference."
.
He meant every word of it. He was not JIVIN' me.
.
.
Reminds me.
Have you noticed the ad panels on like CNN or Yahoo! or other sites that have trending photos with captions?
This morning there was one going around with President Trump reviewing the Redcoats with the Queen at his right elbow.
(https://s15-us2.startpage.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwfin.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2018%2F07%2F071318_Getty_TrumpQueen-1.jpg&sp=510765ad65f848fd01cc0abc4b48eced)
She had a matching hat and a big purse on her left forearm like it was glued on or something.
I thought, "Why would she be carrying a PURSE?" Epi pen? Remote? mini Football? Mace? 9mm?
Then the caption caught my eye -- I usually don't read captions.
It said Trump had committed (some number) of diplomatic faux pas according to British Royal protocol!
I was supposed to be like "Scandalized, I'm sure!"
It seems they could have said anything they wanted to for a caption, because a blunder in Royal protocol would go entirely unnoticed unless you were extremely keen to such details. Something like he didn't bow the correct number of times.
Oh, wait -- that was in Singapore. Never mind.
But they obviously had to be true to form -- the press has an image to maintain! -- as the President's FAKE NEWS gadfly!
I guess I was supposed to click a link to read their list, but I didn't have the patience to wait for their software to load!! HAHAHA
Now I see there's one under this photo (below) saying "Donald Trump taunts protesters at Scottish golf course as they tell him, "Go Home!"
(https://s.yimg.com/uu/api/res/1.2/yX09sz0TBt0l8n8eTneOQg--~B/Zmk9c3RyaW07aD0zODY7cHlvZmY9MDtxPTgwO3c9NDQwO3NtPTE7YXBwaWQ9eXRhY2h5b24-/http://media.zenfs.com/en-GB/homerun/the_telegraph_258/74667ceafb3899e26cbbc238a538d7fc.cf.webp)
...Question: Does this look like he's taunting anyone?
Makes me wonder if perhaps it was adoring fans to whose cheers he was waving back.
If that had been James Comey making the waves, would it have said they were "taunts?"
(https://s14-eu5.startpage.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstorage.googleapis.com%2Fafs-prod%2Fmedia%2Fmedia%3Ad05e56b7e15a483ca0e0451a94f08cb9%2F800.jpeg&sp=48316834d1fba26e2a798be6f39143ab)
"Mmmm.. Naaaah.. I don't think so."
They be like, James Comey waves to adoring fans in the courtroom!

Update --- More news today about Schnatter's fall from grace
.
---This is overshadowed in the news by the Deep State scandal but it's directly related! The lawyers who have designed and carried out this subterfuge of Schnatter's place in the company he founded have made it clear they deliberately planned to make his removal happen, and they coaxed him into situations where he was not as sly and circuмspect as he could have been, so the lawyers won by getting him evicted from his own office. THIS IS WHAT LAWYERS DO -- Lawyers conspire to set up traps for their enemies and lie in wait for them to step on the trip wire. They are taught to do this in law school. If you can't handle the creepiness of this concept you will never make it as a lawyer. They're probably not going to stop until they take his home and personal assets as well! If he ends up ON THE STREET that will be of no concern to them!! It's all about money and power. Perhaps his biggest mistake was training these malefactors how to make great pizza, which is an art form and John Schnatter is obviously an artist who has mastered this art! He has a lot in common with Donald Trump, unfortunately, he has not sought paid attention to the counsel of his own attorneys because he thought he knew better, and probably had no idea this plan was being put together behind his back!! Trump, on the other hand, has a lifetime of experience seeking the counsel of competent attorneys who have looked out for his interest, they have 'had his back" as they say, and Trump has not gone ahead with his own instincts deliberately ignoring the warnings of his own counselors. Sometimes it might seem he does so, especially with his early morning tweets, but he has the big picture under control even if it doesn't seem that way from the outside. -----

The board of directors authorized the termination of Schnatter's sublease at company headquarters in Louisville, Ky.
.
The decision came following the board’s previous actions toward terminating Schnatter’s “founders agreement,” and removing his likeness from marketing materials after he admitted to using the N-word during a conference call in May 2018.

'PAPA' JOHN SCHNATTER CLAIMS HE WAS 'PUSHED' TO USE N-WORD (http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2018/07/14/papa-john-schnatter-claims-was-pushed-to-use-n-word.html)
.
“Since Mr. Schnatter no longer has an active role with the management of company’s business, the special committee [of the board of directors] also approved and directed the company to terminate a sublease agreement granting Mr. Schnatter the right to use certain office space at the company’s corporate headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky,” the press release reads.
.
Papa John’s International says it has further asked Schnatter to refrain from speaking to the media about the pizza chain. The company will also “oversee” an investigation “related to diversity and inclusion.”
.
Schnatter’s latest controversy began on July 11, when Forbes reported of Schnatter’s use of the racial slur (http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2018/07/11/papa-john-s-ex-ceo-used-racial-slur-on-may-conference-call-report-claims.html) during a May conference call with a marketing firm. The firm, Laundry Service, was reportedly speaking to Schnatter to “prevent future public-relations snafus” following a November 2017 incident, during which then-CEO Schnatter blamed the company’s struggling third-quarter sales on the NFL’s handling of players' national anthem protests.

PAPA JOHN'S TO TAKE FOUNDER'S FACE OFF MARKETING MATERIALS (http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2018/07/13/papa-johns-to-take-john-schnatters-face-off-its-marketing-materials.html)
.
During the call, Schnatter was said to be participating in a role-playing exercise, when he allegedly stated that “Colonel Sanders called black people n------,” and claimed that Sanders never got backlash for it.
.
The pizza chairman then allegedly spoke of growing up in Indiana, where the outlet reports that he said “people used to drag African-Americans from trucks until they died.” Despite intending for the sentiment to convey his opposition to racism, Forbes’ source said that multiple people on the call were offended.
.
Following the news, Schnatter issued an apology in which he admitted the reports of him using “inappropriate and hurtful language” were true.
.
"Regardless of the context, I apologize. Simply stated, racism has no place in our society,” said Schnatter.
.
Later the same day, Schantter resigned as chairman. He had previously stepped down as CEO in December 2017 (https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/papa-johns-founder-john-schnatter-out-as-ceo), in the wake of his NFL comments.

.
Since the Forbes report, the MLB, the Atlanta Falcons, and other organizations have been distancing themselves from the Papa John’s franchise.
.
Papa John’s confirmed to Fox News on Friday that the company’s “Papa Slam” promotion with the MLB was suspended (http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2018/07/13/mlb-suspends-papa-johns-promotion-until-after-all-star-break-pizza-company-says.html) until at least after the All-Star Game, and the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta United soccer team (both owned by AMB Sports & Entertainment) said they had suspended their affiliation with the chain in light of the founder’s “reprehensible” comments, Fox 5 (http://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/falcons-atlanta-united-drop-affiliation-with-papa-john-s) reported.

Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, Schnatter, in an interview on WHAS (https://whas.iheart.com/content/2018-07-13-papa-john-schnatter-speaks-after-admitting-use-of-the-n-word/), a Louisville radio station, said he was pressured to use the N-word during the conference call.
.
“The agency was promoting that vocabulary … They pushed me,” Schnatter told WHAS on July 13. “And it upset me.”

Bottom line is, according to the black man I know (I'm not making this up) it all comes down to
.
HOW JOHN SCHNATTER PRONOUNCED THE WORD NIGGER
.
If he had pronounced it differently he would not have any problem.
He said, "Nigger" with a hard "r" at the end.
If he had said "Niggah" with an "ah" at the end instead of the hard "r," there would be no offense.
This is not fake news.

Yes, "nigga" is the term other blacks use for each other. "Nigger" is the racial slur.
