Our medical schools train young doctors or future doctors how to slice and dice babies to death, but if the professor ever used the N word during class, no doubt his job and reputation would be sliced and diced.

Many years ago I saw the movie Apocalypse Now on the big screen. Being a Vietnam combat vet, I could appreciate the realism of the film as well as some of the surrealism depicted. One thing I never forgot was a particular thing Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) told Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) who had been assigned to terminate Kurtz "with extreme prejudice." The quote which dramatically highlights much of the long standing gross hypocrisy of our society is heard below.

In the actual movie the quote is heard during a face to face confrontation between Kurtz and Willard; however the clip below is excellent because it highlights to a much greater extent the profound message behind the quote by showing what Kurtz was talking about.

"We train young men to drop fire on people but their commanders won't allow them to write .... on their aeroplanes because... it's obscene."

Schnatter used the word but it was in the right context. Here is what he said: "“Colonel Sanders called blacks n—–s,” Schnatter said, before complaining that Sanders never faced public backlash." It doesn't sound to me like Schnatter was calling blacks the name but rather saying people have said worse in the past and gotten no punishment. Also using a bad word shouldn't cost you your livelihood. There are some people that want to ruin you completely for having faults. How is that charitable? If anything, the right response would be a public apology and forgiveness by those offended.

Here's an even better one. You hear God's holy name used in vain in virtually all modern movies. But saying nigger is somehow the worst thing a person can do, which can almost end your life. I say too bad for the niggers who are offended. It's just not a big deal. It's a word, just get over it. They call white people names every day and nobody cares. Why do we walk on eggshells for the stupid niggers? Is it White Guilt or what? We are all programmed to recoil in horror when we hear or see that word in print, including you who are reading this. Ever ask yourself why? It's not even a sin. It's a slang term for a negro person. People don't recoil when a black man says Cracker or Honky. Why?

Let me preface this by saying that I do not like the word. It's really just a horrible word in the English language and Catholics shouldn't be throwing around racial epithets like that. It's an awful vice.
That being said, this new world of saying or doing one thing bad and losing everything is really, really bad. It's almost a mob-mentality kind of thing, where everyone goes after you with the intention of ruining your entire life! He made a mistake and people should forgive him.
Even then, do you really think a guy with million-dollar NFL and college football deals and naming rights is really racist towards black people? Both sports are majority African-American.

This morning there was one going around with President Trump reviewing the Redcoats with the Queen at his right elbow.

She had a matching hat and a big purse on her left forearm like it was glued on or something.
I thought, "Why would she be carrying a PURSE?" Epi pen? Remote? mini Football? Mace? 9mm?
Then the caption caught my eye -- I usually don't read captions.
It said Trump had committed (some number) of diplomatic faux pas according to British Royal protocol!
I was supposed to be like "Scandalized, I'm sure!"

It seems they could have said anything they wanted to for a caption, because a blunder in Royal protocol would go entirely unnoticed unless you were extremely keen to such details. Something like he didn't bow the correct number of times.
Oh, wait -- that was in Singapore. Never mind.
But they obviously had to be true to form -- the press has an image to maintain! -- as the President's FAKE NEWS gadfly!
I guess I was supposed to click a link to read their list, but I didn't have the patience to wait for their software to load!! HAHAHA
Now I see there's one under this photo (below) saying "Donald Trump taunts protesters at Scottish golf course as they tell him, "Go Home!"

...Question: Does this look like he's taunting anyone?

Makes me wonder if perhaps it was adoring fans to whose cheers he was waving back.

If that had been James Comey making the waves, would it have said they were "taunts?"

"Mmmm.. Naaaah.. I don't think so."

I wasn't referring to use of the word by Mr. Schnatter, which was used by him to actually say something along the ones of "These are words we SHOULDN'T use.." Mr. Schnatter is being treated unjustly.
What I was referring to, is that in the OPs opening comment, he (the OP) says: "I guess some niggers got upset."

That is out of line.. that is using the word in a way that is not appropriate for mixed company.

He was also interviewed yesterday and said that after the PR call, which happened a few weeks ago, the PR firm called back and tried to extort them for 6 million dollars. They said they would release the audio to the press unless they were paid 6 million. Schnatter and company said 'no way'. Then the tapes were released to Forbes.

I'm surprised he didn't initially mention the extortion, but it'll be interesting to see what happens with this. He still owns 30% of the company and is still on the board, just not chairman anymore.

If he had pronounced it differently he would not have any problem.

He said, "Nigger" with a hard "r" at the end.
