It IS sinful because it teaches little girls to use their bodies and think about their bodies in a way that is prideful and vain. If they want art, teach them embroidery and drawing. If they want athleticism, they can help with the housework.

The Psalms and other parts of the OT talk about dance in praise of God, not as in vain self-expression. Don't go twisting Aquinas to try to make excuses for vanity. Ballet isn't necessary to raise good daughters. It's a frivolous waste of time and money.

Still waiting for the exact url for where it says that Catholic sisters taught dance in the 1800s.
So don't go workout in the gym.  It is the same vain self expression.

I don't know what planet you are frome but housework is not an athletic sport.

God gave us bodies to use.  Why do men get to do things with their bodies and women have to sit still and look pretty (yes i am exaggerating, alittle )?  Men give me a good reason that makes sense. So far there hasn't been one good logical explanation.  Is there a biological reason?

Doing housework is athletic?  Since when?  Please give us some examples!  Perhaps if you’re Swartzentruber or Nebraska Amish!  Even then, Swartzentruber Amish women can hardly be described as “athletic!”

How many threads must you be part of before you realize that men and women aren't equal.  In fact, they are opposites in almost every way, on the natural level.  So what men can do, many times, women can't do.  Vice versa.  God created both genders differently.  They aren't meant to be compared.

Typically, this is a major reason why your posts come off as feminist.  Because you constantly view topics with the false philosophy that men and women are equal, or can be, or should be.  It's been explained to you many, many times that this isn't so.  You fail to grasp this.  Until you, you will have a feminist mindset.

Athletes started out in ancient times as soldiers needing to stay in shape between military battles. Women don't belong in the military and girls don't belong in organized competitive sports unless you want them to grow up to be nasty and mannish. Those Amish women aren't looking to be athletic. They're looking to fulfill their daily obligations.

if housework to you is picking up your broomstick only after the cobwebs and dust bunnies pile up then that's not exertion. Go ask the moms with double digit kids over in the Women Only part if they feel exerted and exercised, that's if they have time and energy left over after their housework to answer you.

There's a road crew outside my house on a job they left unfinished weeks ago. There's a girly girl in work boots and a hard hat, she's giggling and flirting with a half dozen guys with beer bellies. They're all standing around holding rakes. There's a cigar-smoking bull dyke pretending to direct traffic. No work at all going on an hour now all on the public dime. Maybe for fun they all go to the gym together after clocking out later. Then, modestly dressed, I can get out my push mower and take care of the quarter acre front lawn without their road dust blowing in my face. That'll be my workout today, not ever the gym.

Just one little example of life these days thanks to your kind of thinking. Who does your housework?
