  • What does a newly ordained priest usually do immediately after the ordination Mass? Could somebody explain to me how the first weekend usually goes for a newly ordained priest in relation to his parents especially.

  • Dont know but I dont think he says mass when a bishop is there. He probably assists.

    In the first Mass , I believe that he gives communion to the parents first before servers. Is that correct?

  • At the ordinations I have been to immediatly after the mass the priest gives his first blessing to the people individually. They line up and each one recieves a blessing individually. There is a plenary indulgence attached to the frist blessing of a priest.
