  • Is there any restriction on the order a person may perform their penance?  For example, if the penance given is 5 Our Father's, 5 Hail Mary's, and 5 Glory Be's, instead of saying them in that order, could he say 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, and 1 Glory Be five times?

  • Usually a priest will assign a 5 decade rosary or several of them and it would make your question silly.

Whatever other priests may assign, what was described in the OP has been assigned to me, which is why I asked the question.

  • I don't believe it makes any difference in which order you pray them.
Personally I do Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be 5 times.
