I also theorize that many (most? all?) men haven't fallen into adultery only because they have never truly been tempted. The right opportunity was just never there.
Not just an opportunity, but the right kind of woman, and the right kind of seduction. Tailored to YOU, your own particular desires, and your own particular psychological and emotional needs.
Think of the scene in 1984 in "Room 101". For each person there is a torture that, humanly speaking, one cannot endure. For some it is being buried alive, for others it's drowning. Perhaps having one's fingernails pulled out. For some it might be rats, snakes, spiders, being burned alive, being thrown into a vat of raw sewage...
Likewise, some men aren't that attracted to "obvious" whores. They are more attracted to normal "commoners", the Girl Next Door. Some guys don't like the vulgarity of common prostitutes, how they dress and carry themselves, especially knowing how dirty and "used" they are. So there is barely a temptation. Just for starters, some men have an IQ over 80, and they are reluctant to get diseases. But in the right circuмstances, the right girl, and if she said/did the "right things" to seduce you, you might capitulate. You might not be able to bring yourself to yell at her to stop, or to get up and actually leave the room.
It's good to maintain that belief, that fear, that uncertainty -- it is the foundation of all prudence, humility, being careful, and distrust of self.
Rather than pounding my chest and saying "I haven't fallen. I can't fall!" I'd rather say, "I probably haven't been truly tested yet. I choose to be prudent."
