once saved always saved? right

You can tell how ignorant of the Bible people are who adhere to this once saved always saved nonsense

We can thank the arch-heretic Luther for that gem

Look how much damage and misery that belief has caused us down through history. Since that belief came on the scene, there have been far more wars and other kinds of murder (Roe v Wade comes to mind) than in the yrs b4 Luther

(I've studied history more/less extensively, although all those who study history wish they knew more)

The 20th century was particulary brutal and bloody and diabolical: Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and again: Roe v Wade

once saved always saved? This is taught by people who believe in the Bible and ONLY the Bible (as a way of knowing Jesus)? I mean, the word Irony does not begin to say it. They claim to go only by the Bible.. dont need a pope, don't need a physical Church, etc... just me and my Bible. And yet they throw out things in the Bible that are very, very clear. OSAS is not only NOT in the Bible, cannot be construed from reading the Bible.. the exact opposite is in the Bible. Jesus said that FEW make it to Heaven (Mt 7, Lk 13, etc)

Somewhere in the NT God is referred to as a tough taskmaster. And i could go on and on.

Jesus said that unless you keep his Commandments, you are not his follower. So this OSAS stuff is just unbelievably false and catastrophic in its end results

I hope all Catholics out there are standing up against their heretical neighbors who believe this Hell-worthy "doctrine of demons"

I know you Catholics don't agree with osas

but don't you have to discuss this kind of thing w/ protestants you know?

as you know the Church teaches that if you dont evangelize, you jeopardize your salvation

In a sense, once a person is saved they are always saved because...

A person is never saved until they are in heaven and then, well, there that is the end of their judgment.   ;D

But, yeah...  Try and tell a Protestant that and they will most likely look at you weird...   ::)

I wish that were all they did

I have seen the devil emerge  :(

I wish i could say I were joking

anyhow.. thanks for that thought/reality: that we are always saved once we are saved, which is only in Heaven.. great answer.

one scripture that refutes osas is "Work out your salvation w/ fear and trembling" Phil 2:12

then there is that one about He who endures to the end will be saved.. which is a total Purgatory psg becasue notice how it says WILL BE SAVED. Even if you endure  until the end, you are still not necessarily saved, as in: you have arrived... you are done.. because it doesn't say he who endures to the end IS saved, but WILL BE
