  • That is how I felt when I found out about the traditional Catholic Faith...
My friends who knew me growing up could hardly recognize me because of how happy I was after becoming a traditional Catholic compared to before...
"The truth shall set you free!"   :)
this proves we were made in God's image: when we are happy at hearing what many say are uncomfortable truths.. but we accept them b/c they are truth
i think there are some who have followed un-truth so long  they would not want to hear truth @ all?

  • To all OSAS folks out there:

IF OSAS were true, why did Jesus say to the woman caught in sin:

    Go and sin no more

It is true that in order to receive grace a person's soul has to be open and prepared for it...
I am so grateful that even though my parents were novus ordo, they raised us with a great awareness of virtue and Catholicity.  :)

how old were you when you found out about traditional mass?
how old were you when you accepted it?
I myself grew up knowing little about traditional catholicism, and even now don't know as much as I should

I was about 15 years old when I first found out about the traditional movement, and accepted it that same year.  I had some traditional Catholic influences though because my godmother was SSPX.  Even though she never really broached the subject of the novus ordo not being good, she gave me a good influence, good books, and helped plant the seeds to prepare me to receive the truth.
Yet, my family are all novus ordo.  So, I was not really able to go to the traditional Mass until I was 18.  At that point I worked as a governess for different traditional Catholic families until my family were ready needed help back home and agreed to stop trying to force me go to the novus ordo.

What if that part is not in their "Bible" anymore? If I were trying to accommodate my personal inclinations by audaciously editing Scripture, then it would be a "good" idea to rewrite that part as "Go and sin more". That actually sounds like something Martin Luther might do...
But, if you are "predestined" to go to heaven then it probably does not matter how much you sin.
Hey, I know most people seem to think Hitler is most certainly roasting in Hell but, WHAT IF he was PREDESTINED for Heaven?! What do you say to that?

No worries!  Please don't ever feel like there is a rush to respond!  That is the whole idea of the forum.  No one has to write and there are no time regulations for commenting.   :)
