  • When my pious, beloved grandfather was a porter at Penn Station in the 1940's and 50's, he used to attend daily Mass at this parish.

Now this is happeneing. St. Pius V, pray for us. May the Lord have His Vengeance.

  • These pseudo masses used to really torment me terribly.  In this case, it's beyond blasphemy to use the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to endorse and honor those who participate in the 'sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance.'  But a good trad priest told me years ago to try to find consolation in the probability that He is not present in their wafers for many reasons.  I hold onto that to keep from being overwhelmed at such horror as this.   That, and reparation.   Domine, miserere nobis.

  • Another journey into the absurdity by the novus ordo church.

I remember even back in the late 1960's there was a mass at
Catholic University that was so shocking, what went on could
not be published fearing still good Catholics would be drawn
down into the sins of impurity. If any photos, and graphic
description of the mass was published.
Even the Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Patrick O'Boyle said
that he found about through reading the newspaper.  I do know
if anyone was ever disciplined and expelled.
I believe I was reading about it in the Wanderer. A Catholic weekly
    out of St.Paul, Minnesota.

  •  :barf:
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Dolan probably endorses the fag desecration - at the same time attacking a perfectly fine and holy TLM parish in Holy Innocents.

He's lost all respect from me.

  • So bad, the Catholic Church has become no different than progressive Protestant denominations. I haven't attended mass since my kids received their first communion (which was a nightmare process) ... I have no where to go for mass. So I stay home , teach my children the faith, homeschool and pray. I went through a long conversion, becoming catholic because of the church's teachings on life (abortion contraception) and ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity... Leaving the homo loving episcopal church the year they voted in the homo bishop.

I have no "home". And honestly I'm fine with that.

  • It is the church after Vatican II that allows for this, not the Catholic Church that Christ founded. At this point, they might as well be two different religions. Leave the Novus Ordo and find a nice, conservative Catholic parish that teaches the Faith.

The Catholic Church that Christ founded would not celebrate a fag "pride" pretend-Mass. For something like that to even exist is an event of scandal, shame and an act of horror against the Sacred Heart. Remember, the Gates of Hell will not prevail against it. You'll be in my prayers.

I understand your predicament and I feel for you and will pray for you and your family. But I would advise against looking at this lamentable and extraordinary circuмstance we are all in today as anything other than lamentable and extraordinary.

We should not be "fine" living without the Sacraments. Pray that a Catholic priest will soon become available to you and your family. And pray unceasingly for the restoration of the Catholic Church to Her former glorious state.

I live in a very rural area, but a catholic town founded by German catholics. We have "new age" monasteries. As well as very conservative parishes that have blinders on. I honestly do not know what to do! I've spoken of it a few times here. All the TLM parishes are under the bishop... Now. I'm talking with a friend that  attends a TLM parish that just recently decided to be under the authority of the bishop.  Pray that something becomes of that.

What do you do?  I feel Protestant again. Like, I can not walk through the doors of my parish.

Is anyone willing to talk to me privately? I've been here long enough to private message now. I'd like opinions on a local TLM parish and opinions on what I should do.

I guess that I feel "fine" because I don't have any other choice right now.

That you, in your words, "feel like a Protestant again" is why I warn against "feeling fine" with living without the Sacraments. "Home alone-ism" is I think an especially precarious state to be in for one who has only recently escaped (by God's Grace) the "alone-isms" of Protestantism.

If you have no access to the SSPX or other groups or independent priests, but you do have access to an FSSP TLM, then go there. FSSP priests are very reliably orthodox (listen to their sermons on Audio Sancto for proof) and questions raised about the validity of their orders are overblown to say the least (see Fr Gregory Hesse on the validity of Novus Ordo orders).

Unless your local TLM is being offered by some modernist heretic deceptively preaching half-truths and soft heresy to the Faithful looking for Tradition (which unfortunately does happen not infrequently) I would go there. Especially if it is FSSP. You will be in safe hands with nearly all FSSP priests.

Otherwise, if you have access to an Eastern Rite Catholic parish, go there. There you can be certain (as long as it's not Maronite) that you are receiving the Sacraments validly and traditionally.

Francis doesn't care, and I don't watch the 700 club, hard to tell if you're making fun of me or being serious. Whatever. It's a serious issue.

So you've traded the heresy of Modernism for the heresy of Protestantism?

Then you're the one with the problem.

When you stand before the Throne of Judgment, "Talk to Francis' will be no defense whatsoever for your having been "happy" to give up the Mass, the Sacraments and the Catholic Faith.

Hell is Hell, by whatever road you get there.

  • I have shared this with all my friends. They just shrug their shoulders. Afraid to speak up. But they'll rant and rave about abortion.
