Byzatine Rite stands and even after reception of communion, STAND.  Here in Phoenix, an elderly priest died and the next one changed the rubic and posture as you say.  Byzatine Rite change missalettes with capital letters and BOLD print stating STAND, DO NOT KNEEL.   I never went there again, about 1998?  I told my friend, a parishioner of this church, I would not come back.  She asked why?  

I said, I refuse to STAND when it is an honor and a right to kneel and adore Christ truly present.  Her reply was, "standing is also a form of mortification".  This is a college math teacher and I was shocked.  I said, "At the name of Jesus, all knees should bend".

I would have told her, "All knees shall bend, in heaven, on earth and under the earth, which means in hell -- so maybe you'll have to wait until you're in hell to kneel." But that's just me.  ;D

Byzantine rite has a different tradition than that of the west. It is traditional in the Byzantine rite for everybody to stand.

Eastern Catholics sense of traditional is not the same as the Latin Rite. They were constantly changing everything. The ancient and old books written in their languages by them are few, and the ones written in English are very few and written in modern times 19th and 20th century. 
We are Latin Rite Catholics, we have no business going to or discussing what is and what isn't tradition in an Eastern Rite. Were it not for the Novus Ordo and the Vatican II religion, not one Latin Rite Catholic would go to an Eastern Rite in the USA or anywhere else.
