Is there knowledge that is necessary for salvation, (i. e., the incarnation)?

Some say you only have to believe in one God who rewards the good and punishes the wicked. And some say you also have to believe in the trinity and the incarnation. This comes up all the time in the debates in the Feeneyism subforum.

I myself believe you have to believe in the Trinity and the Incarnation because of the Athanasian Creed, but others say you do not.

Wow, so now you can get baptism of desire without even believing in God. If that is not universal salvation, then what is.

Then I misunderstood your post. I thought you meant that it was wrong to say that there are minimum requirements to get BOD so that anyone can get BOD regardless of what they believe.
