  • And why is it always his "sedevacantist" friend...rather than just his "friend"?
When I first posted about him it was because he was my friend who was a sedevacantist as opposed to other friends. But later after sedes kept getting upset that I called him my sedevacantist friend, and so that people understand I am talking about the same person, I continue calling him that.

  • I am so happy. My sedevacantist friend called me b ack and admitted that he was wrong and I was right. he called the Dimond Brothers and their secretary told him that repentant ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs can be forgiven and he believed them, so he told me he was wrong and now everything is okay.

  • As I said in another thread --

It's not that I hate sedevacantists, because I don't. What I hate is the institutionalization, or cultification, of a single opinion on the Crisis -- an opinion which CAN'T have the necessary certainty to condemn others or compel their consciences. Turning "Sedevacantist" into a major identity and group, such that non-Sedevacantists are excluded, condemned, as "others" and "outsiders". You know, like in any cult.

That's why I hate unnecessary use of that adjective. "Sedevacantist dating site" is hilarious to me. As if Traditional Catholic isn't enough. But that's exactly it -- to some Sedevacantists, that's their team, their group, their identity, and they would un-ironically tell you "NO, anything but Sedevacantist isn't enough!". So they need Sedevacantist rosaries, Sedevacantist friends, Sedevacantist gregorian chant, Sedevacantist dating sites, and a Sedevacantist chapel. Served by a Sedevacantist priest of course.

As I said in another thread, Sedes used to just attend SSPX and other independent ("Traditional Catholic") chapels. Many still do. Their opinion on the pope was just that -- an opinion. It didn't stop them from socializing with their fellow parishioners. It didn't reduce the # of Masses they attended each year. It didn't cause them to become bitter, nor did it cause a complete lack of charity and a withering of any good fruits.

ok, so now we find out he's not really a "sedevacantist".  He's a home-aloner.

  • An update on my sedevacantist friend. He is now willing to go to Mass at one of the local Ukranian Churches because he believes they are traditional enough, but not the local SSPX. So he is no longer a hoome-aloner.

I think it's fine to go Ukrainian, but that Ukrainain is somehow more Traditional than SSPX?  That's highly unlikely.

  • That's great he's no longer a home-aloner and he's going to Mass. Additionally you never know, maybe his potential wife SweetDimondite4u1999@lycos.com is in the pew right next to him.

  • I doubt it's real. I think it was a joke -- I keep talking about how ridiculous the concept of "Sedevacantist singles" is.

Basically, the concept that Traditional Catholic isn't enough, you have to be Sedevacantist Traditional Catholic in everything.

As if Traditional Catholics who left the Novus Ordo right away and started the Traditional Movement (so they could keep their Faith and receive valid Sacraments) were wrong, in objective error, or AT LEAST seriously lacking something as Catholics, unless and until they became Sedevacantist. As if that's a new dogma or a central tenet of Catholicism.

Again, not talking about ALL sedevacantists, but you know I'm talking about YOU if you believe that "Traditional Catholic is not enough". And you know what I mean by Traditional Catholic. The three points I've typed out on CathInfo about a hundred times.

If that e-mail address actually exists, it's being flooded with e-mail as we speak. :laugh1:  Whoever thought, a "sweet" Dimondiate?

You seem to be familiar with the Eastern rites. Would you mind taking a look at this thread I started?
