He seems to imply that everyone would be living this "ideal", if it weren't for free will. Isn't that how most people explain the presence of sin in the world?

When someone says, "People do X because of free will" they usually think X is a sin.

Throwing "free will" in there was a vain attempt at being humorous.  If our free-will were taken away we would could be forced to live the opposite of the ideal.  We could all be forced to do evil all the time instead of good.  But since we decide for ourselves, are influenced by our surroundings and have a fallen human nature which is prone to sin, sometimes our choices are not too good.  I hope that does not make anyone feel bad.

  • I just realized I never said I wore a suit.

    Just for the record.

  • When I have to mow the lawn I do it in my pajamas. But I wear pajamas most of the time.

  • Dressing casual is a sin.

There's a book by a Catholic theologian by that exact title.

Read it.  Learn it.  Know it.

That's a new one to me. I thought that God didn't care what you wear as long as it is modest. If you are right then it is definitely a sin for a woman to wear a t-shirt, or for a man either.

Until you quote it, we will ignore you.

  • The same guy who wrote "Liberalism Is A Sin".

You guys who go around all casual are living in a dream world.

  • If it is true that wearing casual clothes is a sin, then I am a sinner because nearly all of my clothes are casual though they are modest. I would have to go shopping so that I could dress in a more formal way to avoid sin.

Cool your jets, little man!  I think it's pretty clear the poster is engaging in a little pun fun.  Liberalism is a Sin becomes Casualness is a Sin.

I was laughing when I wrote it, but you couldn't know that.

  • Worse than wearing a suit to mow the lawn: a pink or purple shirt (for men).

What's up with Trad guys wearing these feminine colors??? Drives me nuts.
