  • Wikipedia claims the following: "Most Holy Family Monastery, a sedevacantist community living in Fillmore, New York, under the headship of Michael (né Frederick) Dimond. They are considered to be the most outsiders of the sedevacantist community for their own strict interpretation of the Dogma "Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus" (for this particular interpretation, see Feeneyism)."

Is MHFM really "out there" because of Feeneyism? I personally think that they are out there because they believe that almost all traditional priests are heretical to the point where nobody is allowed to get sacraments from them

Since they separate themselves from the majority of Catholics -- the Mystical Body of Christ -- does that not make them schismatic?

    I believe it does.

They are to be avoided. Despite a good video against evolution, and maybe a couple other decent videos (even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while), you're not going to lose much by steering completely clear of this dangerous group.

Ending up a home aloner is NOT a recipe for salvation.

  • they do actually say you can go to “non imposing” sspx or byzantine Catholic or CMRI or certain independent priests.

i disagree with their thinking almost everyone is a heretic and i disagree with their view of EENS.  but i still use their anti protestant materials.  stopped clocks and all

  • But yeah home aloneism is the worst.  I used to be a protestant before my conversion , and home aloneism sounds Protestant to me.

    From the attached:

    1. They call themselves “Brothers”, but neither of them has made the standard novitiate, which the Code says is strictly necessary for professed religious. They call themselves “Brothers” because this lends prestige to their opinions....
    ...

    13. The two “Brothers” Dimond are two worrisome little men. Without any authorization and without proper theological training, they have endeavored to establish themselves as teachers of the faithful and ‘certifiers’ of all priests in this country. They make a lot of money with their misleading publications, tapes, etc., and they spend much time on the phone persuading people to stay away from the Masses of non-Sedevacantist priests. Who knows how many Catholics of good will have been persuaded to stay home for months on end -- even years -- rather than attend Mass, confess their sins, and receive Holy Communion? I urge everyone to give these men a wide berth; do not buy or circulate their materials, even those which are acceptable. Do not send them money. Beware of wolves in monk’s habits.

I don't like the Dimond Bros. attitudes but very few people can compete with them on the merits of their arguments, so they resort to attempts at character assassinations. If anything, pointing out a lack of theological training makes them look better because their arguments and evidence holds up better than people who went to college/seminary. It's best to attack ideas, not people. But the anti-Dimond crowd can't attack their ideas without attacking popes, saints, and the ordinary Magisterium.

I don't understand this comment.  They are not home-aloner and they don't advocate for it as far as I know.  I also don't think most home-aloners would advocate their material either.

Uh, yes they are. Do they have a network of approved chapels? I doubt it. They have excommunicated virtually the whole Catholic Church, and I'm talking about the Trad portion of it.
So yes, adhering to the Dimond Brothers with all your heart virtually requires that one become a dogmatic (not an accidental) home-aloner. Not a good thing.

They basically are. They say they just rush into a Byzantine Catholic Mass, said by a priest who they think is a heretic, take Communion and then run.

Well, then, no they are not.  Home-Aloners do just that: stay home at all costs.
