  • You might have heard Jackie Robinson West was stripped of its Little League World Series title.   I feel bad for the children involved because it was not their fault. The coaches and parents let these children down. The coaches and parents are still letting these children down by not coming clean. They are teaching children you can cheat and  assign blame on others.

    Here Michael Pfleger  weighs in
    Quote
Fr. Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina parish singled out Chris Janes of Evergreen Park for a "witch hunt," with Pfleger indicating he thought the allegations were racially motivated.

"I can't help but wonder the question if the same thing would have been done with another team from another place, another race," said Rev. Michael Pfleger, St. Sabina Church.

Cheating should never be okay. What ever happened to cheaters never win?

I doubt very much that this was a witch hunt (weird choice of words coming from a priest) or even about race  People were well aware this team was cheating during their playoff run.

Note:  Michael Pfleger is a Catholic priest in Chicago. He's kind of the Catholic version of Jesse Jackson. He's on the news all the time.  He goes to anti-gun rallies and  was involved in  the Michael Brown demonstrations in Chicago.

Edit: I just Googled "Chris Janes" and found out he is getting death threats.  Plfeger basically called him a racist for challenging JRW's title. Sad.

  • So the story here is that this heretical Novus Ordo presider (also a shameless race pimp and promoter of ghetto nig-noggery) has publicly weighed in on something as utterly trivial and meaningless as the "little league world series?"

No wonder you posted this anonymously.

The development of children  is not trivial. Sports are a big part of American society. It is another place where we teach young boys to grow up to be men. This is also really big news in Chicago. The team was given huge donations for their effort.

Perhaps you should have posted anonymously. "Nig noggery" is clearly a racist slur and no way acceptable language.

  • It is in no way acceptable by anyone who even pretends to be Catholic.  And I am not posting anonymously.

Says the guy who called St. John Chrysostom an "αnтι-ѕємιтє" and boasted of having a "gαy friend." You'd know about people "pretending to be Catholic" if anyone would, Siggy.

But for the edification of anyone interested in making important distinctions: the word "nigger" refers to a person (or persons). The term "ghetto nig-noggery" on the other hand, refers to a pattern of behavior exhibited by persons living down to the very worst stereotypes surrounding the group to whom the word "nigger" is usually applied. Anyone familiar with "Father" Pfleger's theatrical minstrel-show antics and race-pimp thuggery will know that he, indeed, lives down to those worst stereotypes and promotes the same (and also happens to be, wouldn't you know it, every bit as lily-white as you, Siggy). So you can put down your direct hotline to the Charity Police, because A. I didn't use the dreaded "N-WORD" and B. it's not possible to sin against charity by disparaging a pattern of behavior.

First, it is the spiritual development of Children which is important, that development is not trivial, after that, sports can help teach young boys to grow up to be men, but far as that goes, that part is trivial. As it is now, all playing sports does is teach young boys to grow up to be godless men whose god is sports, and cheating is part of that game.

The old saying goes: "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game that counts."

My guess is that 99% of young boys out there who play sports ever heard of this old, but true, saying.

Even if your criticisms of me ore 100%correct, you are still a racist idiot and an embarrassment to your own cause.

My criticism of you is merely this: that you've allowed your intellect and the judgments that flow thence to become so fundamentally influenced by modern mores and "values" over and against real Catholic traditions and teachings that you actually accused the greatest of the Church's Eastern Fathers of the wholly modern, wholly invented "sin" of "anti-Semitism." One can't put too fine a point on that - You judged one of the greatest Catholic saints according to the standards of the godless modern world, when it is the duty of every Catholic to do the opposite. So your accusing me of being a "racist" or an "idiot" or whatever else, while it pales into utter insignificance by comparison to that aforementioned blasphemy, can hardly be taken seriously considering the source.

But just so the record's clear - I hold no belief whatsoever in the inherent overall superiority of one race over another, and I challenge you to provide a quotation of mine to prove otherwise. And, no, Siggy, an isolated use of a feather-ruffling epithet to describe a pattern of behavior does not make me a "racist" any more than an isolated use of the word "rendezvous" makes me a Frenchman, no matter how much you might wish it were so.

As to your charge that I'm an "idiot," I refer you to Our Lord's admonition in S. Matthew v:xxii.

But speaking of embarrassments and "racist idiots," - didn't you quit this forum back when you formally anathematized Matthew as a "racist," and therefore (again, according to you) no longer a member of the Catholic Church? Why are you still here, then? Are you also in the habit of eating in restaurants that serve terrible food and then complaining that the portions are too small?

Which part is not acceptable?  I see more than one portion that is unacceptable, although I think I will agree with what you consider unacceptable to be unacceptable.

As for team's being stripped of the title, a team of ringers in the Philippines won the Little League World Series several years (or over a decade ago) and when it was discovered that it was a team assembled from all over the Philippines, they were stripped also.

I read the thread in it's entirety and now realize that Sigismund was directing his comments to BTNYC.
