    • Hollywood puts out movies that will make money. Period.

    60-70 years ago they put out good Catholic movies because Catholics paid to go see them.

    Unortunately the average Catholic now would rather see trash.
    Also, Hollywood is Jєωιѕн.

    Yes, movies are becoming worse and worse. They are neither entertaining, nor informative. So called comedies are anything but funny.

    I remember in the good old days when I was still a child, in the early 1960s, visiting the parish hall where we had clean stand-up comedians. a pot luck spaghetti dinner (no meat balls) where people brought salads and desserts, and polka dances on Friday nights. It was good wholesome entertainment at its best.

    We also had talent shows like once or twice a year.

    We can bring those back.

    • Mel Gibson produced, to my knowledge, exactly one truly Catholic film in his career.  Since then, his life has seemed to fall apart with public infidelity, divorce, remarriage, etc., etc., etc.  I do not know why anyone would think Mel Gibson is an alternative to Hollywood.  He is Hollywood.

    Does Mel Gibson still have possession of that private Traditonal chapel which he had built on his land, or was he forced to sell it?

    If so, what priests serve there?

    Is Mel Gibson still active in the film industry? I have not heard about him recently.

    He's a drunkard and a woman-hater. Let me quote how he treated a woman at an Israeli film festival likely for being a Jєω and a woman:

    I think it is important for us to learn that we are all horrible human beings and that we all deserve hell, even traditional Catholics, even Archbishop Lefebvre. So if Mel Gibson does too, then he is my brother.
