  • Are Catholic hymns in poor taste?

    Quote
    Tenebrae Factae Sunt
by Fr. Tomas Luis de Victoria

    Latin Lyrics:

    Tenebrae factae sunt,
    Dum crucifixissent Jesum Judaei,
Et circa horam nonam exclamavit Jesus
    Voce magna:
Deus Meus, ut quid Me dereliquisti?

    Et inclinato capite,
    Emisit spiritum.

    Exclamans Jesus voce magna ait:
    Pater,
    In manus Tuas commendo spiritum
    Meum.

    Et inclinato capite,
    Emisit spiritum.

    Translation:

    Darkness fell over earth,
    When the Jєωs crucified Jesus.
And around the ninth hour Jesus cried
    With a loud voice:
My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?

    And while bowing His head
    He delivered His Spirit.

Jesus cried with a loud voice and said,
    Father,
    Into Thy hands I commend
    My Spirit.

    And while bowing His head
    He delivered His Spirit.

  • Poor taste bulloney.  It was plain wrong.  These Catholic students need better teachers.
Kids now a days can be so aggressive and abnoxious because of their texting and electronic things they don 't know how to behave in person.
I'm sure they weren't trying to convert the Jєωιѕн students.
Kids no longer know anything about manners, etiquette, civility or self control.
