things have changed so much since then? In any case, Jesus does not want us to become complacent. Some think all they have to do to get to Heaven is go to Church on Sunday. But going to Church in and of itself is not going to work if you don't apply what you get there. Jesus said that whatever we do to the least of His people, we do to HIM.
Jesus (frankly) is being abused right and left. Most Christians, when they look at another Christian see only a human being... with out-of-date clothes, out-of-date car, no prestigious job, and they say to themselves: THAT cannot and never could be Jesus
