  • This is a great segue-thank you for moving the conversation along. Yes, sin is rampant, especially concerning impurity. None of us are immune unless we are vigilant. We  must not try to justify some of our inclinations. I will use this in another upcoming post, but nature/biology is not perfect. Grace perfects nature.

    A few statistics:

    • General Average:
Most studies report that the average age of first exposure to pornography is between 11 and 13 years old.
    • For Boys vs. Girls:
      • Boys: Typically report earlier exposure, around 11–12 years old.
      • Girls: Tend to be exposed slightly later, around 13–14 years old.

Young Adults (18–29): This group exhibits the highest rates of pornography consumption. A 2016 survey by the Pew Research Center found that 90% of men and 60% of women in this age range reported ever viewing pornography.

    • Adults (30–49): Consumption remains high but slightly lower than in younger adults. Approximately 80% of men and 50% of women in this age group reported ever viewing pornography.
    • Older Adults (50+): Consumption rates decline with age. For example, a 2019 study published in The Journal of Sex Research found that 60% of men aged 50–59 and 30% of men aged 60+ reported ever viewing pornography.
Do these stats factor in women's 'novels'?

  • I hate to call someone a liar, but I do see your point. A 40 year old worldling who has only been with 1 woman? How did he do it? Does he look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame?
I saw this post online today

I've passed 30 as a virgin so I can wholeheartedly say that it's not my problem, it was rough when I was young, in my teens and twenties that I only got rejections from women, I often thought of killing myself too, but now I'm completely past the point of caring, I've got money saved up, I have hobbies, I can easily pass the days until I die, it's hard for guys to be alone when they're young, but as guys get older they care less and less about women or relationships, however for women it's the opposite, they don't care a huge amount about relationships when they're young, they can always get a partner whenever they want, but when they get older it'll get really tough for them when their maternal instincts kick in and are suddenly wondering at 38 where her kids and husband are, you can say that I'm coping but I'm seeing a lot of women talk about how miserable they are as they're getting old and lonely, meanwhile I never see any older guys talk about being miserable, they've made peace with their life, and so have I

There is a lot of guys like this, and many more still to come. The women on the otherhand won't be virgins past 30, but they won't have husband and children either (at least 40% of them and that number is expected to rise).

  • If you don't like WCWSG you can rebuke him in a proper Catholic manner or call him out on his dislike for women and heresy denying origin sin.
Anonymous coward, I never denied original sin nor do I dislike women.

You repeatedly denied that original sin comes from Adam.
