  • Did the man and woman take the following vow?

I, N.N., take thee N.N., for my lawful wife (husband), to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

It would seem to me that a married couple in the situation described should carry the cross they must bear and help each in their quest for salvation.

Everyone thought St. Elizabeth, the cousin of the Blessed Virgin was infertile, but it turned out their prayers and sacrifices were heard by God.

  • I can't even believe a Catholic is asking this question.

Infertility does not invalidate and already valid marriage.
    I recommend prayer.
Has the couple considered adopting an abandoned infant?

I would add that God does not have an obligation to give us a child.  It is a blessing, not a right.  He knows better and we need to learn to accept the cross as best we can although some times are harder than others.

  • Infertility is on the rise because of hormones in our food and water sources.  How many marriages would you have to go through to find a "fertile" partner?

Let me just add that many evil people can reproduce.  Even the unmarried.  Rape, affairs,  and incest can produce children.  That's not a sign of validity.  Many validly married yet childless couples out there.

  • I don't know the specific medical situation, but here is my suggestion:

Try foot Reflexology (Acupressure). I have read many cases of infertile people becoming fertile from using it. I also attest to it's effectiveness as I use it in my family for their health. One thing to remember though is that most places that offer foot treatments use the Ingham method. What is used in my family is more useful.

You could even apply it to yourself with enough practice.Acupressure can be applied to any part of the body, but the feet are considered the most useful areas as they contain all your nerve endings. Acupressure will naturally regulate hormones and restore proper circulation of body fluids.

One precaution. If not used to Reflexology, over stimulation can release too many toxins and cause illness. Stop after fifteen minutes.

If all that is humanly possible fails... Pray!
Many people say "For the Honor and Glory of God!" but, what they should say is "For the Love, Glory and Honor of God". - Fr. Paul of Moll
