  • Can a married couple use the marital act only for procreation?

For example, a newly married couple only engages in the act on days the wife is known to be fertile.  Once pregnancy is achieved, the couple does not engage in the act until the baby has been born, and the wife has recovered and is healthy enough for another pregnancy.  At that point, they return to engaging in the act only when the wife is fertile.  Once the wife goes through "the change," the couple abstains completely.

Would such an arrangement, so long as mutually agreed by the spouses, be acceptable?

  • Ask your Traditional priest.

We don't need ANOTHER thread about this topic.

Apparently some Trads just can't totally abstain from the prurient interest.
