Medical cannabis doesn’t necessarily make you high. My aunt took it in capsule form for nausea during chemo. She never appeared high to me. Just because it is legal, doesn’t mean it’s morally okay. It’s legal for two men or two women to marry, too. It’s NOT morally acceptable.
I admit to trying weed once in college when it was definitely not legal although most authorities on campus looked the other way. Many of the younger professors or grad student teachers used it themselves. There was one of the latter who routinely taught a class called, An Overview of the K-12 New York State Curriculum. I sat in his class for 90 minutes two days per week for an entire semester and learned nothing. If you showed up, you got a 3.5 or 4.0 if he liked you. A group of us in his “class” got up a petition with a threat of a lawsuit if we did not receive a full refund or to retake the class from someone else free of charge. I guess enough complaints were made by the right people and Mr. Cheech N. Chong was gone next semester. I took the class over the summer via independent study at another SUNY school. I had to make three trips to Plattsburgh for introduction and materials, midterm, and final exam.I got a 4.0, but it had nothing to do with the professor liking me, or high on pot!
