Do priests and male religious love perpetual virgins more than married people or those seeking marriage? Do they relate to them better? Can feeling more "at home" in the company of perpetual virgins than in the company of marrieds or those seeking marriage be a sign of a religious or priestly vocation?

Jesus surrounded Himself with and clearly preferred virgins so much that He chose to have perpetual virgins for His mother and foster-father; and His favorite disciple, St. John, was a perpetual virgin.

Those considering the priesthood or religious life should not be misogynistic; they should have a healthy love of and respect for women. So, can the sort of women a man prefers be a sign of his religious or sacerdotal vocation? It would seem so because a man who consistently prefers women with no desire to have her own biological children would not be called to marriage, as procreation of children is marriage's primary end.

I've never seen these issues treated in any vocation discernment books.
