The women know that their young daughters (12 to 16) are not ready to be looked at this way. They are not arguing against the age gap they are looking at it from the practical aspect of their own daughters.

The men are not really "pervs", they are just fearful that they will not be able to find a spouse and settle down. Fear can make people respond aggressively.

If we stop accusing people of the worst and be more understanding of each other, it would be a good act of charity. (I know know one wants to look at this from that angle.) Carry on.

As a woman you're making things subjective. Try to look at the argument. Not your assesment of motives.

You think that is a good way to discuss things. I think my observation still stands and it has nothing to do with my gender. Someone wanted to get in an argument and they succeeded. And again just my observation. If you want a better discussion, then go talk about it on the men's only forum. Women will always think of this issue in real case scenarios and it has nothing to do with them being a feminist and everything to do with the concern for their daughters.
