I am getting the feeling that there is a big disconnect from what my words say and what the men think I say. I obey who I need to obey, you no longer have to act like my fathers ( I think I have like 3 here)
Can someone post for me my exact quote that said women don't have to obey men, I believe I have never said that. I will show respect to men, but again not in the anonymous forum where your gender is not even stated. Context matters.
This thread is on age gaps. I think we have determined that age gaps were acceptable by the Church, that women as young as 13 were ready for marriage (in a time gone by) that legally now that age is 18 in many countries.

The Victorian's had a sliding scale of half your age plus 7 years.
The only way to change any of the current thinking is for parents to teach their daughters better.
