Yes. And just to define what is an acceptable age-gap, I think the male, ((( half your age + 7 ))) rule is pretty spot on.
Male 20:: youngest age of woman 17
Male 24:: youngest age of woman 19
Male 26:: youngest age of woman 20
Male 30:: youngest age of woman 22
Male 34:: youngest age of woman 24
Male 40:: youngest age of woman 27
Male 44:: youngest age of woman 29
I'm not saying an age-gap is preferable, or ideal. Just saying there's nothing wrong with it. I don't understand why anyone would be opposed, other than superficiality.
Two points where we will differ then.
I do think age gap is the ideal. Because holiness is the highest purpose of marriage. The wiser the man is the more he is able to lead. And the Holy Family is the family of families.
And I don't think we should put numbers on it like that. I'm not saying that because I am secretly a 90 year old who wants a 15 year old teenager, or anything like that. I know some will think they're so smart by thinking that. I am saying because its really meaningless. People will marry based on a wide combination of factors, often simple convenience being one. Picking numbers like that is fun to do in abstract, but has no bearing in real life.
