If you are SSPX, would you attend the CMRI if one of their chapels were close geographically.  Let's say that the drive from your house to either one of these chapels was only 15 minutes, which one would you choose?  The CMRI isn't constantly bowing to the concilliar church so that's a big plus.  The new SSPX angelus calendar cites in a positive maner Pope John Paul II's new code of canon law.

Just between us Traditional Catholics.  If you could, which route would you take?

  • I go to an SSPX chapel. If I had a choice I would go to a CMRI chapel. I haven't heard Bishop Piravunas calling the Jєωs our "elder brothers."

What does the new SSPX angelus calendar cites in a positive manner about JPII's post concilliar code of canon law?

  • I could go to both because they are ten minutes apart. I even drive past the kooky indie trad cult chapel to go to either, but when CMRI came to town and their masses were at the same time, I've been to CMRI ever since.

I also always go to CMRI when I travel, if there is a choice. If its just SSPX, I look into the situation first.

It quotes the new code of canon law in regard to rules of fasting.

Take a good look at it yourself.  We can't just say that we approve of the code for fasting but ignore the code that permits the Eucharist to be distributed to non-Catholics.  Something very big is wrong with this.
