Vienna, VA is a 5 hour drive and Carrollton is 6 hours. Too far to drive. But not for you.
The Mass is the Pearl of great price. What would you do if suddenly, all the water dried up within a 5-6 hour radius of your home? All the taps went dry and no one was selling any water. Your throat is dry and your thirst is unquenchable.
Would you sit on the computer and moan about it while your body slowly shuts down and withers away, OR would you drive the necessary 5 hours to get water or maybe even seriously consider moving somewhere there was fresh cold water?
the Mass is INFINITELY more important than water. Water sustains the body but the Mass sustains the soul. Think of the many Mexicans in colonial Spain who walked hours barefoot on dangerous roads to attend Mass. the Mass is the Pearl of infinitely great price. Consider it. Meditate on it. It may be the most important decision of your life. When you stand before the judgement seat of God, terrified, tiny, you will shed tears wishing and BEGGING for the chance to attend just one more Mass. just one more chance to receive Holy Communion to expiate your sins and Avert the fires of purgatory.
i don’t say this to judge you or play the role of your spiritual director but only to give you some serious food for thought but because I personally know many valiant old traditional Priests and laypeople who built tradition, who went to incredibly great lengths to establish Mass centres and attend Mass, many picking up their belongings and lives and moving to faraway places to have access to Mass.
