  • We are Catholic, our religion is not republican/ laissez-faire/protestant work ethic with hate for poor children mixed in.

  • I agree with Tiffany's statement, but my main problem with the GOP is that its seems to be nothing more than an extension of Christians United for Israel [sic]. :barf: The GOP has been taken over by the "evangelical" protties and their zionist ilk. They place the interests of "israel" over those of the U.S., which makes them hypocrites because they're the same people who used to accuse Catholics of pledging their allegiance to the Pope instead of to America. When "israel" was raining bombs down on Lebanon, the fundies were cheering them on, nevermind the fact that Christians were being killed. What a twisted ideology they have.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • No true Catholic can participate in partisan politics.  The election process is rigged so I no longer vote.  I only do what is legally required of me.  And I try to pay the bare minimum of taxes.

  • The GOP hates poor children but let's not forget that the democratic party wants to abort poor children.  Imagine that!  The democratic party wants the mother's of poor children to murder them all in the name of convenience.  Why does the democratic party want the mother's of poor children to abort them?  I guess so the mother's of poor children won't be mother's but will instead by steady democratic party voters.

You can't vote for the devil running against the devil and give yourself credit for voting against the devil.

The GOP is a dead institution so if we talk about them, it will have to be in the past tense.

No, not dead at all.  What should be dead is the belief that there is a fundamental difference between someone with an R after their name with that of someone with a D after their name.  It's not a difference between ideological politics anymore.  Dems and Reps make up a singular elite that is virulently against everyone beneath them.

  • Republicans got their majority on the supreme court, but didn't over turn roe v wade.  Chief Justice Roberts said something like, it was because roe had become "traditional," in america.  I thought that was an especially ironic thing to say, coming from a catholic chief justice (it sort of makes a mockery of the catholic belief in tradition).

And the complicit media is only too happy to hold him up as a "devout Catholic."

  • I don't like the GOP any better than I like the Democrats. I haven't voted since I found out it was all a big scam a few years ago.

No.  The abortion industry wants them murdered because the abortion industry is a RELIGION.  It is the religion of Molech.  Or satan if you prefer.

I don't see any Republicans being pro-life. Some are against surgical abortion, all reauthorize federal medicaid dollars which does pay for abortions within Hyde (rape, incest, mother's life) in every state and abortifacient drugs. If they refused to authorize funds for murder they would be one-term only.

Oh please.  If it's a religion, explain the dogma, explain the sacraments.  Call it what it really is and ever will be: a big business.

You've never been inside an abortion clinic, have you?

Since you imply you have, then there should be evidence to answer the previous question.  Good Catholics have never been to one.

  • Abortion is motivated by more than business.  Those who promote are often animated by a satanic hatred of Christ.
