  • Close all TLM chapels and remove them to places where there are trads but no TLMs.

Give some other trads a chance.

  • Your thinking is distorted.

You act as if those with a Traditional Latin Mass nearby won some kind of lottery.

    1. Some people worked to get a Mass center built. They donated money, time, labor, and other resources. They got along with and networked with others to this end. And they either convinced the SSPX to service their chapel, found an independent priest, or both.

    2. Some people had "place to go to Mass" as a priority when they decided where they would live/work. I'm sure many people gave up $$$ (money that folds) to be closer to Mass. So comparing a person who would live "anywhere" with a person who would only live "within 1 hour of a TLM" is unfair. A person in the first category should, all things being equal, make a certain % more money per year than those in the second category. It's a question of logic and statistics.

    3. Most people who have no Traditional Mass nearby are not forced to stay in their current situation. They could launch out into the deep and find a new job in a different place. As of 2012, we are not living under a communist dictatorship where people are forbidden to move or determine for themselves where they will live/work.

  • Surely, Matthew, you recognize the typical liberal mindset.

Everything you have that's good came at the exploitation of someone less fortunate than you.  You have a TLM because you stole the opportunity to have one from others.  We can hear and read this in secular issues every day in the mainstream news media.

Quite frankly, it amazes me that I would see something like this on a traditional Catholic forum.  Either this means someone is posting in the guest forum just trying to cause problems, or it means liberalism is entering into the thought processes of some traditional Catholics.

Unfortunately, as a few individuals on this forum show by their inability to make rational arguments, I fear it is the latter.

Aahaa, so you're the one who wrote the gameplan for Southwest Ohio!

What alien planet do you live on where there's a job market like that in this day and age? So what if there's an aging parent to take care of?

What you said is true maybe for a  footloose 35 year old in the prime of life with a top-notch degree, but not so easy for others.

  • The trads with access DID win the lottery.  The trads without access lost the lottery and got stuck living among the Novus Ordites, especially the ones with no control over where they were born.  Trads with TLMs always come off to me as being very comfortable--worlds away from the poor slobs who get to choose between Sunday very low NO Mass or just plain staying home.

Also it's silly to think that most people have the ability to up and move across the country.  Maybe in my father's day a man could go someplace and have a job if he wanted it, but then in his case there was no reason to move anyway since it wasn't Vatican II yet and there were still plenty of honest jobs.

  • I wonder if Luke 12:16-21 applies to people who have easy/reasonable access to a worthy TLM.
