  • Accounts, reported here, from eyewitnesses who saw the Hosts—the very Body and Blood of the Lord!—being passed around like some cheap cracker or biscuit, softened by the general dampness of the weather, accidentally discharged to the mud and not retrieved, trampled upon by countless feet are enough to move the heart of every Catholic unto sorrow and compunction.
These desecrated Hosts, inadvertently or not, do not even include the countless particles that adhered to the palms of those who received Communion by the hand, those Hosts taken hostage as a memento or as a virtud to be fed to gamecocks and similar beasts, and others profaned in one way or another.

  • This is reported to have happened during the Papal Mass in the Philipines. Seems we are reaching a new low? Or have we forgotten the images of the Holy Eucharist passed around in plastic coffee cups  during the Brazil Catholic Youth Meeting? After all that Rock n Roll paraphernalia ´, stage and loud speakers didn´t they have cash to spend on the Holy Eucharist providing it a decent chalice?

And now this?  This has to stop now! We as Catholics must ensure that everywhere and always the Holy Eucharist is to be treated with the honor and respect due to the Body and Blood of Christ.

This is not to be ever dependent on the whims, fancies or opinions of others. It is irrelevant what anyone may opine. The Body and Blood of Christ must ALWAYS be honored and who doesn´t agree should join some other faith and pass around the cookies instead.

  • Hopefully those hosts were invalidly consecrated so it wasn't really Our Lord being desecrated.

they seem to think they were validly consecrated

    from previous link:
The Traditional Latin Mass community in the Diocese of Cubao (the Philippines) and the Una Voce-affiliated Ecclesia Dei Society of Saint Joseph in the same country, organized a special Mass of Reparation on the 6th of February this year (a First Friday) for the sacrileges that occurred during the Papal Masses celebrated by Pope Francis in Manila last month.

  • Make a Holy Hour of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the intolerable offenses against Him.  It's a spiritual battle.  Hit 'em where it hurts.

  • This has been going on in the Conciliar church for decades.  Why is anyone ever surprised?

Is it because the vast majority of novus ordites think the Host is not Our Lord's body but it only something that symbolizes Our Lord?

I very much doubt these were validly consecrated. If these people believed in Transubstantiation this would never have happened.

This is TRUE and I agree with AlanF's assessment.

If I saw a consecrated host fall into the mud, I would retrieve it, clean it off, keep it somewhere separated from every day items and consult a Traditional Priest.  I wouldn't just leave it there.

The novus ordites at this papal mass saw these hosts in the mud but thought that keeping their own fingers free from dirt outranked retrieving the Blessed Sacrament.  This is assuming the consecration was valid.
