We both pray as much as we can, and do spiritual reading/meditation. As is expected with most working-class occupations, the men swear a great deal, dropping F-bombs a lot and making impure jokes, which my husband hates. I know this is hard on him. They are otherwise good workers and his boss is great, thanks be to God. His family helps us financially thanks be to God, but they never offer to actually come over and help (they live almost 10 hours away), which is quite disheartening because nothing is hindering them from doing so. We've described in detail our sufferings and all they say is they will pray for us. I think they honestly deep down despise how strong we are in the Catholic Faith (non-Catholics sometimes think our Faith is the reason why we are suffering), they're very proud people in that way and either ignore or scoff at little gems of Catholic truth we share, shared in a kind manner. They prioritize visiting with their Church friends over calling us, even on days like Christmas. My husband would probably find being on here too overwhelming, but maybe on a relatively calm day I can suggest it just in case, thank you.
