I haven't had time to read all of the pages of this thread but I want you to know that I am praying for you and your husband.  I know SO MANY traditional Catholic couples who are being tested and struggling.  Stay strong and keep doing your best and I am sure that God will reward your efforts. 🤗🙏
Thank you very much. May God reward you for your kindness.

An exorcism is only for those who are truly possessed. Even those who have been in the occult. Listen when someone is possessed it's pretty obvious. And very rare.

Garrigou Lagrange in his three ages of the interior life talks about the difference between obsession (much more common) and possession.

I would recommend getting holy water from a resistance priest (ask him to mail you some.)Pretty sure you are allowed to dilute it down somewhat, but talk to a priest about that cos I'm not sure how that works.

And sprinkling daily, if not twice daily

Then everyday say the August Queen of Heavens prayer, which are Lady promised expels demons.

The Holy Face chaplet as often as you can also. Each one of those "Arise O Lord.." expels demons on the spot.

And most of all pesevere in prayer, even if you find yourself losing concentration.
Thank you, I really appreciate your suggestions. I will do everything you have said there as much as I am able.

Demonic obsession is what I was thinking, I thought exorcists were the ones who help with any kind of demonic influence, not just possession. Does Fr. Lagrange go into detail about demonic obsession, or is there any traditional Catholic reading material that could help me discern this?

I also disagree with getting an exorcism. A general confession to a valid priest of every single past sin you can remember, without holding any back, followed by frequenting the sacraments and a desire to continuously grow in the love of God will bring much benefit to your lives.

From the Douay-Rheims Bible: (Romans 8:28)  And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good... read to the end of the chapter.
Thank you, may God bless you. I am doing better through prayer (especially mental prayer), that is all we have access to right now. I know Our Lord will provide me grace even if I cannot see a priest.

What to say and do to encourage a depressed, chronically exhausted, chronically bitter and angry husband?
He needs a good ass-beating. That'll usually snap him out of it, if there isn't a supernatural dark spirit behind his disposition.
