How to get married by resistance priest in the US?
« on: May 21, 2026, 03:22:12 PM »
I wonder does Bishop Zendejas celebrate the matrimony?
Due to privacy I made this anonymous. Basically my fiance and I had been courting for a while and had been wondering about how to get married within the resistance, because we couldn't go to resistance Mass most of the time but we don't want to have it done by the SSPX priest. The closest resistance would be Bp Zendejas. I live 10 hrs drive away and she lives in another country. Our plan is that once we get married we will both move closer to Bishop Zendejas, but we want to make sure we marry first so that we can move in the same house together. However, I don't have regular contacts with His Excellency. I emailed around a month ago but haven't heard back anything. We don't know what to do and feel stuck.

Why not marry where you go to Mass? It's going to be difficult enough for you to do marriage preparation when you don't live in the same location. Attempting to do that in a place that neither of you live would be even worse. You don't have to agree with everything the SSPX does to be married by an SSPX priest.

There are resistance priests all over the US and Canada. Bishop Z is not the only one, you realize that right. If you like send me pm and I will find you a fully resistance priest.
Bishop Z is often slow to respond to messages. But if he is the closest then hang on. There is Fr. Ringrose in DC, Fr. Hoopes in Michigan, Fr. Morel in Baton Rouge, and further west, you have other priests, like Fr. Voigt, Fr. Sretenovic etc. etc. There are many options.

Please stop with the brain dead promotion of the SSPX.

Father Ringrose is a good choice.
