  • How can a husband love his wife as Christ loved the Church?  This statement seems to be one that while admirable, seems impossible to fulfill- he can only strive to do so.

Anyhow, what are ways that a man can do so?  I suppose I am asking for not only abstract ideals but also concrete, practical things he can do.

  • As Christ gave His Life for His Church a husband must be prepared to give his life for his wife (and their family).
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • He should love his wife selflessly, with the love of caritas and not just eros.

He should always put his wife and children's spiritual welfare at the top of his priority list.

I think exposing your wife to Feeneyism here is terribly against her spiritual welfare.
