  • Hi all,

My husband and I decided that we will homeschool our children. We only have 1 son (the youngest) among daughters so far, and I am afraid he will turn out to be an effeminate because of the girl's influence. My husband is never home due to long hours at work so it is only me and the children.

    Any advice?

  • Thought I'd mention that my boy is only 1 year and half old but I would like to prepare for the future.

  • Nothing to worry about!! Believe me, but Congratulations! in the choice to home school.  We home schooled 3 daughters and a son.  the son was very happy, grade 7, to home school, because he did not want to be around the young men who flirted with him.  He is a semi truck driver for Swift, age 38.  You would have a lot of heart ache if you had them in the Freemasons public schools and that includes the so-called catholic schools which are really public.

    Thanks!.  Good to know.

I guess your child has more chance of becoming ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ by going to public school nowadays or even Catholic NO, with all the rampant sɛҳuąƖ perversion and moral disorder.

  • Do Not send them to public or NO school!  Having loving sisters around him will do so much more for him than what anything out there can offer.  As the only boy just make sure to groom him early on of his duty and responsibility as the sole male heir - this should raise a spirit of heroism and chivalry in him.

  • Yes, I don't believe in Co education so I'm planning to have a different curriculum and activities for girls and boys.

So what would that look like?  Presumably it would be nearly identical in the earlier years, so what would happen during say grades 8-12?  Or would it be quite different even for the younger grades?

  • When you homeschool, each child is in a separate class even if you have some time with all the students--after all, you don't separate your family life between boys and girls even though you probably do have certain activities in which boys may gravitate to and others which girls gravitate to.  (For example, you need to shop for new clothes:  You take the boy one day because he really doesn't want to go but has to in order to make sure the clothing you choose fits; while the girls want to go and try on many different clothes to help you find the outfits that are just right.)

There should be no problem with homeschooling your boy over the next 17 years (remember that it might not officially be "homeschooling" until the age the State commands that he be in school, but he will be learning nevertheless) along with the girls in the household.

The family needs to stay together, pray together, and learn together.

Keep him home and get him into fishing and guy sports he can do by himself if his dad is not home.
