I'm just curious what materials other homeschoolers use in teaching the Faith. Maybe I'm missing out on something good? What do you use and why?

We're going to need subsections in the anonymous forum soon.  :smirk:

We used Living in God's Law as our primary text for 1st grade. We'll probably move on to the next book in the series, Living in God's Grace, this year.

There are some books I have in mind for older grades, but we're not to that yet.

I am using Living in God's Grace (3rd level) from the Our Lady of Victory curriculum. I am very happy so far with these series. I have also recently purchased reading Catholic books from Angelus Press and Tan Books.

Of course, the best way you can teach religion to your children is by practicing it yourself. Say prayers throughout the day, use of sacramentals, bible study, saint stories, Mass attending, etc.

There are always moments throughout the normal routines of the day in which you can teach your children important lessons in the Faith by explaining situations in simple ways.

Sorry about that, but I have my reasons. :tinfoil: :scared2:

My husband and I split this up a bit, as I do more of the Catechism and memory work. I use Our Holy Faith. My husband is amazing, he adapts books above the children's level, grades five and under, so they can understand them, using commentaries from the Fathers and other resources.

Do you like the Lepanto books? I didn't know about them when I ordered the other set but I've dropped every subject I've ordered from OLV, so I have to admit, I don't really look at their materials when I order books.

We use the Martyrology, too. One of the children's godparents gave them an entire set of the Mary Fabian Wyndeatt saint books! I was so thrilled! I used them for some assigned reading.
