  • I have been practising homeopathy. We have a lot of health issues. But listening to a talk I am wondering if I should throw it all away. The machinery/cards came from a Swami centre in South Africa. And my teacher used a pendelum although I never believed in that. Can you guide me please. I just want to do the right thing by my Catholic faith - and willing to give up. Also, how can I 'cancel' the consequences of my actions on me and family. Thanks.
    Desperately yours,
    R.

  • Healing is from God. Products of the earth are for our use in healing.  If you are concerned about the meds themselves, pray over them as you would food.  I have used homeopathy for many years, along with modern medicines, minerals, vitamins, plants, etc.  The great saint Hildegard of Bingen used stones and gems, so I don't think anyone can say that when used with God in mind, prayerfully, that any form of medicine is inherently bad unless it is proven to do harm.  Practices like yoga are inherently bad because they are practices developed by men to worship idols.  Two different things entirely. I keep hearing of a movement to unsettle Catholics about the use of homeopathy, but I find their reasons anecdotal. Because they don't understand how it works and from the guy that supposedly invented it, they assume it's evil.  No one invented homeopathy.  They discovered it, uncovered it, which means, it was already there for our use for healing. I remain open to discovering specific ways homeopathy harms people in and of itself.  Until then, this is my opinion.

  • Good answer, anon.

I have used homeopathy in the past and I am using it right now. I don't understand how it works. But it works and I am able to live life more than I could when my energy levels were almost devastating for me.

The practitioner is a qualified naturopath. He takes the whole person into account. Whereas a GP generally treats your leg (for example) almost as if it were not part of you.

I don't understand what you mean by "The machinery/cards" and I wouldn't be involved in a "swami centre". Can you explain this machinery/cards?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • If the practitioner used pagan language, spells, the sin is obvious. I think it depends on that.
