  • How can some Catholics rejecet the holy week reforms of Pius XII and call them wrong? They were authorized by a true and valid pope, no? Unless, of course, Pius XII was an antipope... And what about the reforms of St. Pius X? It honestly shocks me to see trad catholics who think they are wiser and more catholic than the pope and who criticize the reforms of these two pontiffs as modernist. Also, how does it make sense for an R&R to acceptthe prevatican 2 liturgical reforms, yet reject the Novus Ordo?

I believe I am more Catholic than Pope Pius XII. Why? Because he believed in the Big Bang and not in the Biblical account of creation in Genesis. I also think that allowing the holy week to be changed by Bugnini was a bad idea.

Shame on you for that kind of arrogance.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

Some trads think all the Popes since John XXIII were bad, I think there are problems with Pope Pius XII also. You call it arrogance, but my conscience is clear.

Then what does that say about Pius XII? Was he a heretic? I doubt it.  His modifications were valid and licit. He had the power to authorize them, and he exercised that power. I'm getting really fed up with trads who criticize the Vicars of Christ over petty things.  So what, the reforms arent to your liking? If a Pope promulgates them, then that's it. Honesty,  I'm reevaluating my whole position as a trad because of these reforms and the reforms of St.  Pius X. Maybe the Novus Ordo is valid and licit. :surprised:  I'm seriously thinking about going to Mass (Novus ordo) with my mom this Sunday for the first time in years. I'm sure she'll be happy about that.

He appointed freemason Bugnini for the liturgical reform. That is not a petty thing. It is the beginning of all modernist liturgical changes, that end up in the Novus Ordo Mass, with Trads condemn. The changes to the Tridentine Mass began there, under Pope Pius XII reign. Not later on, as most Trads pretend. These changes should be resisted right from the start because all of them were planned and conducted by freemasons. Why to oppose the NOM and not the liturgical reforms leading to it, if they were master minded by the same freemason?
