  • Feeling pretty blue,

    I have underlying health condition, my last pregnancy I got preeclampsia at 20 weeks, baby stopped growing and died.

    This pregnancy, I had hoped it would be a little different as I was told aspirin was the "magic drug".

    Now showing signs for preeclampsia, only just 24 weeks. They don't like the idea of me having a C -section because of my bone marrow disorder.

    I feel like i'm left with death or disability.

    Pretty much prayed to EVERYONE gered majlla, pio, Gianna, Pope pius XII, now I'm trying st Philomena.

    Feel so blue, I shouldn't expect miracles, I just wanted a few more weeks longer without complications so it's less dangerous.

  • Most Holy Theotokos, save this thy handmaiden and her baby. Guide her to the right physicians.

    Quote
    Kontakion to the Most Holy Theotokos

    O Protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame,
    Mediation unto the Creator most constant:
    O despise not the suppliant voices of those who have sinned;
    But be thou quick, O good one, to come unto our aid,
    Who in faith cry unto thee:
    Hasten to intercession, and speed thou to make supplication,
    Thou who dost ever protect, O Theotokos, those that honor thee.

    Honestly, I clicked "Post with your username." It did not work.
    Here are three other prayers called Exapostelaria to the Most Holy Virgin:

    Quote
    The sweet delight of the Angels, of those who sorrow the gift of joy.
    The sure defense of all Christians, O Virgin Mother of the Lord,
    Grant me thy help and protect me from the eternal damnation.

    I count on thee as my advocate before our God who loves mankind.
    May He not censure my actions In the presence of Angels.
    So I implore thee, O Virgin, come to me swiftly with thine aid.

    Tower of gold interwoven, and twelve-walled city of the Lord;
    Throne that is drenched in sunlight, imperial seat of the King.
    Wonder beyond understanding, how thou nursed the Master.

    Lord have mercy.

  • I have a small miracle story from my own experience with pregnancy.
    Six years ago I had two miscarriages back to back and both were at four months. I then had several surgeries after those losses due to uterine fibroids. (Possibly caused the miscarriages in the first place) After all of that I was sad that I may not be able to have any more children.
    A few months after my last surgery I found I was pregnant again, and of course very scared I would lose another.
    I did carry her full term but had many complications during delivery.
    At the time I had been reading a book written by St Therese’s sister Celine Martin called ‘The Mother of the Little Flower’. Known as Zellie Martin, and not yet declared a Saint at the time, I did pray to her for help and found much comfort during that ordeal.
    The baby was healthy as could be, but I almost lost my life. To this day I say that my little girl is a miracle from Heaven. I treasure her so much.
    I could say it was the doctors who saved me, but I like to thank Zellie for her help and guidance too :)

  • I had pre e with my first. It's so scary! My other two I had very high blood pressure and expected to become preeclamptic at any moment. I had some luck with the Brewers diet, but I followed it very loosely. I imagine it would be much more effective if I followed it exactly. It's recommended to eat protein every waking hour, like some Greek yogurt or an egg. Most doctors will look at you weird when you ask them about it. They didn't learn it in their textbooks.

  • I too will keep you and baby in prayers.  I knew that the cervix rejuvenates with each pregnancy, but I found out that the uterus does this also!

    I know of a girl who was premature a little due to preeclampsia in utero, and now she is a nun. So this can work out.
