Where does one get a hairshirt? PM me!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • For some reason links don't work for me at cathinfo so I can't give you a link. But if you google hairshirt, the site that is the fifth link sells hairshirts and other mortification items.

  • Isn't it true that one must get permission from their confessor prior to wearing a hairshirt?

  • I should probably wear one.  But I'm surprised they come in different styles.  The fashion-industry is more pervasive than I ever imagined.
There is an even greater choice of hairshirt accessories.  And that's just one website.

  • A hairshirt has clearly a moral requirement for any Catholic man. Surely the apostles were hairy.

    One certainly should.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir
