I saw a reply on the 8chan christian board claiming that most sedevacantists are "material schismatics", I was wondering if anyone else has ever head of this term.

  • It's a virtually meaningless term, like "material sin." Without the formal element (I.e., deliberate refusal to submit to authority or maintain Communion with other Catholics) there's nothing significant about "material schism." It's a term that should be avoided, imo.
