All but two of Alphabet's 11 board members are men. Google's most recent diversity report, from June of last year, showed the tech giant overwhelmingly employs white men, with 69% of its workforce being male and 56% of its workforce being white.
That's because men are better than women at software engineering. Broadly speaking, men like working with things, women like working with people. And even within the pool of men, a greater number of Jєωs and white men have the minimum necessary IQ than other racial groups. That's called reality. The IQ bell curve is a fact. Say it takes a 110 IQ to be a good software engineer. There might be 300 whites out of 1000 with that IQ, but only 30 blacks per 1000. Then you have to factor in that there are more whites than blacks in America. I'm not surprised at all that there are more whites than blacks employed as software engineers.
If Google has really made that much progress in diversity (44% non-white), some smaller, whiter company that doesn't give a flip about political correctness or liberalism should be able to mop up the floor with them. Going against nature and reality has to be a disadvantage.
