gαy FSSP priests?

  • I have suspicions that the priests and staff of an FSSP parish I've visited are gαy.

Is this common?  Why would effeminate gαy men do the Latin Mass?

If true, this is a fight I didn't ask for.

  • Probably more common than we'd want to admit.  gαy men are attracted to the super aesthetics of the Traditional Mass.

If you have solid evidence, report him/them to their superior.

  • Simply ask the ones you think are perverted if they are sodomites. Let us know what they say.

  • The local FSSP priest in my area definitely acts effeminate in his mannerisms. It's one of the reasons that discourage me from going there.

  • OP here.

So, do you see a difference in masculinity between, say, SSPX priests and FSSP priests?  (I've noticed that the SSPX priests appear straight and at least somewhat mannish, while the FSSP priests come off as flaming dandies.)

  • Sometimes mildness can be mistaken for effeminacy.  Some priests are just mild, and sort of "beta" in their personalities.  Non-confrontational.  You'll find such types in pretty much all traditionalist groups.
    .
That being said, there have certainly been ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs within traditional clergy.  This is a matter of public, established fact.  Urrigoity and his cadre are as good (though hardly the only) example as any.  So it's hardly far from impossible.  As one anon said, some more cultivated types enjoy the aesthetics of the Latin Mass.
    .
Anyways, as to your specific situation, don't go around spreading gossip.  Do you have sufficient reason to believe the priest is committing sodomy?  That he has engaged in some impropriety with men of the chapel?  That he is grooming?  Don't let your "gαydar," however well developed you might think it is, cause scandal.  Keep it to yourself unless you have some evidence.  Distance yourself emotionally while being observant.  Don't let your suspicion that he's a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ inform the evidence.  Take the evidence and ask dispassionately, does this evidence suggest, beyond the required presumption of charity, that something sinful or otherwise inappropriate is occurring or is about to occur?
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

No. I have met SSPX priests who are just as effeminate.

Even if there is no sinful activity as actual sodomy, effeminacy is not a good behavior in men, priests included. It should be corrected.

I'll add that I have also met FSSP priests who are very manly, so I don't think this is a matter of organization, but individual priest.

What does he do or how does he act that would lead you to believe he's effeminate?
Careful, this kind of thing is how rumors get started.

    .
I agree it is deserving of correction.  But what may seem effeminate to some may not to others; in my experience, people who go on forums and anonymously wonder if their priest is a fag do not have the best judgment.  I would not trust such a person to be able to tell the difference between a man who is effeminate and a man who is simply mild.  Those who look for trouble and scandal will find it.
    .
Now, suppose we're sure the behavior is effeminate.  What's the appropriate thing to say, and to whom?  Asking the priest if he's a queer, as was suggested earlier, is not the way to go forward for people who are Catholic and not socially retarded.  Even bringing it up to him at all might not be the wisest course of action.

    :laugh1:
Seriously.  The FSSP is part of the Vatican II, homo sect.  I'm sure things will be addressed.   ::)
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

I believe that most people can tell the difference between meekness and ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ effeminacy.

While I was at SSPX seminary (St. Thomas Aquinas), a couple of seminarians were dismissed for exhibiting effeminacy in their mannerisms.

  • Fssp is of the dioceses, freemason organized and operated, to serve you better through the state and federal gov't.
